Filmkontakt Nord hosts Nordic umbrella stands at the major international film- & tv markets, marketing films and promoting small and medium-sized producers.

Filmkontakt Nord is present at international film and television markets, either as sales agent, promoting films on behalf of the producers, or as an umbrella for a group of small and medium-sized producers.

During the markets, Filmkontakt Nord meets with television buyers and organizes info-meetings, mini-seminars and receptions as meeting opportunities for producers, commissioning editors and buyers.

Filmkontakt Nord generally functions as matchmaker and facilitator, offering expertise on co-production, marketing, distribution and sales, thus paving the way for producers into the international market.

FkN regularly attends MIP-TV/MIPDOC, Sunny Side of the DOC, MIFA, Clermont-Ferrand, Sheffield, Cinekid and has ventured into the North American marketplace at HOT DOCS and Toronto Documentary Forum.

Nordic Presence

Filmkontakt Nord also attends the major festivals in the Nordic region like Tampere International Short Film Festival (FI), Tempo Documentary Festival (S), CPH:DOX (DK), BUFF - The International Children and Young People's Film festival (S) and The Norwegian Short Film Festival - Grimstad (N).

At the Nordic festivals FkN often offer individual project consultation through Nomadic Office. During Nomadic Office FkN offers their expertise on international co-production, marketing, distribution and sales to the Nordic producers working with documentary projects.

Next Nomadic Office will take place at Tempo Documentary Festival in Stockholm, Sweden.
